Diseases due to Overweight

Diseases Due To Overweight

Obesity is not only a cosmetic problem , it causes also many different problems, which can be dangerous for our life.

Some of the common Problems due to Obesity are as follows:

Coronary Heart Disease :

Due to the increment of our body mass index, increases our risk of coronary heart disease. In this disease a waxy substance known as Plaque builds up inside the coronary arteries. Plaque can narrow or block the coronary arteries and reduce blood flow to the heart muscle.

Obesity also can lead to heart failure. This is a serious condition in which your heart can't pump enough blood to meet your body's needs.

High Blood Pressure :

The Pressure against the walls of Arteries due to the Pumping of Blood by Heart is called as Blood Pressure. If the Blood Pressure is High or Low due to any reason, then it can damage the Body in many ways.

One of the most common reason for High Blood Pressure is Obese or Overweight.

Stroke :

As a consequence of Plaque build up in the arteries, an area can be rupture, causing the Formation of Blood-clots.

If the Blood Clot is near to the Brain , then it can stop the follow of Blood and Oxygen into the Brain and that can cause Stroke.

Type 2 Diabetes :

High level of Blood-Glucose or Blood-Sugar is regarded as Diabetes. The Harmone Insulin in our body turn Glucose into Energy to perform daily activities.

In this type of Diabetes body doesnot use properly Insulin. In the Beginning , Body makes more Insulin but after some time the ratio retards and thats why the blood glucose level goes out of control.

Diabetes is a leading cause of early death, CHD, stroke, kidney disease, and blindness. Most people who have type 2 diabetes are overweight.

Abnormal Blood Fats :

Obesity or Overweight can increase the risk of having abnormal levels of Blood Fats.

These include high levels of triglycerides and LDL ("bad") cholesterol and low levels of HDL ("good") cholesterol.

Cancer :

Being overweight or obese raises your risk for colon, breast, endometrial, and gallbladder cancers.

Osteoarthritis :

Osteoarthritis is a common joint problem of the knees, hips, and lower back. The condition occurs if the tissue that protects the joints wears away. Extra weight can put more pressure and wear on joints, causing pain.

Sleep Apnea :

Sleep Apnea is a common disorder in which you have one or more pauses in breathing or shallow breaths while you sleep.

A person who has sleep apnea may have more fat stored around the neck. This can narrow the airway, making it hard to breathe.
